The survey of telephone companies

Do you know that there are no less than sixty seconds in a minute? But according to IDT a lot of telephone card corporations only give you 36 seconds in a minute. In concordance with the assertion done by some IDT corporation, lots of telephone card corporations are become a party in unjust competition. As some corporations-providers of prepaid phone cards resorted to the unjust competition actions, IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) decided to exonerate their privileges utilizing the legal ways.

It is hard to realize, but some of unjust card promoters deliver only about 60% of minutes, which were prepaid for. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have reached a full settlement of the suit delivered by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC versus Total Call. That brings to four the number of accused groups which have settled the enforcement proceedings initiated by IDT/UTA earlier this year. Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and related structures, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc are also involved into the assize. That pending action is being on approval in the federal tribunal in Newark, New Jersey. To let everybody know the new phone service terms and payment methods, one of the corporations placed the advertising notice on their blog. One of the characteristics he was proud of was the scope to determine the duration of the minute to any size. Other characteristic was to randomly deduct a minute from your balance. Moreover, they said that those principles are not their discovery, but are the rules for all prepaid calling cards developers. That is true, because having revised all the new advertising notices you can find the same information.

So next time you see a international phone card for $20.00 with 2000 minutes and you realize that it is so brilliant to be true - maybe it is! But remember to select the calling card properly, and be assured that you have the amount of units which you pay for. The good news is that the companies mentioned above agreed to deliver 100 percent of the units prescribed to customers. IDT/UTA thinks that until all accused have assented to follow to this standard, it is profitable for the pending prosecution of this action to have a streamlined litigation with fewer accused. They have to endorse the proposed rules to make the competition between the telephone card service corporations really honest and reasonable. They consented to evolve standards and mechanisms for checking the accuracy of disclosures and denials made in relations to prepaid phone cards. The participants agreed to promote the useful tracing system open for everybody who would like to check the operations.
